Nail care can project beauty but requires some special care apart from having a balanced diet and good hygiene. Nails are an intrinsic part of our appearance as well as serving functional purposes. Men, as well as women, are attaching more importance to nail care and grooming. The nail is made of a hard protein called keratin. A protein is one of the building blocks which make up the body.  Long or short, nails should be impeccable; they are the final point of your beauty and their look reflects your personality.  Your nails grow about 1/8 of an inch per month. The nails help protect the ends of the fingers and toes from trauma.

Biotin is available at health food stores.Use an emery board to file nails down to size. Apply a top coat almost daily to help protect.  Nail polish thinner can be used to thin out nail polish.

Use nail polish remover as infrequently as potential - particularly those containing acetone. Most nail polish removers will dry nails away.
